KA Imaging Founder and CTO Karim S. Karim was joined by Applications Specialist Jay Potipcoe to present the webinar “Better Point-of-Care and Bedside Imaging with SpectralDR Technology: Optimizing Clinical and Operational Outcomes” sponsored by KA Imaging. They explored the current challenges of point-of-care and bedside imaging as they shared their insights with attendees.
Some of the knowledge shared included:
- What is Dual-Energy Subtraction (DES) X-ray, the limitations of old DES techniques and how a single-exposure detector can overcome these limitations.
- The clinical benefits enabled by SpectralDR in the early detection of small nodules identification, pneumonia, pneumothorax, coronary calcification, foreign surgical objects, line and tubes identification.
- More about the specific use case of SpectralDR for point-of-care and bedside imaging.
Karim and Potipcoe shared additional information via a question-and-answer session. The Q&A session is included in the on-demand recording of the webinar at ICEwebinars.live.
Attendees shared feedback via a survey that included the question, “Why do you join ICE webinars?”
“To learn about equipment and services outside my work role. Continuing ed and certification,” said Steven Sirois, BMET III, Maine Medical Center.
“To accumulate new knowledge that I can later share with my students,” said Calin Corciova, professor, Medical Bioengineering Facility, Romania.
