Ken Gleeson, RT, has been named System Radiology Manager for University Hospital’s Radiology Department.
Before joining UH, Gleeson was the interventional radiology supervisor for MetroHealth, responsible for IR tech work, call schedules, time off, education and training, problem-solving and employee engagement. He also created a collaboration with Revenue Integrity to improve coding for IR procedures.
He says that his work’s impact on patient’s lives inspires him every day. He is passionate about making a positive difference for patients, physicians and radiology caregivers.
In his new role, Gleeson will focus on improving staff satisfaction, patient experience and operational efficiencies while identifying and finding solutions for any challenges.
He obtained his Bachelor of Business Management and Master of Business Administration from Western Governors University in Salt Lake City, Utah. He also received his Certificate of Completion Radiologic Technology from the Naval School of Health Sciences in Portsmouth, Virginia. He graduated with honors and distinction from the Navy’s advanced X-ray program accredited through George Washington University.
Out of the office, Gleeson enjoys watching movies and historical documentaries and traveling to his favorite vacation spot – Sedona, Arizona. His dream is to travel to Marseille, France and retrace his grandfather’s journey from France to Germany during World War II.
