David Werner, MBA, recently joined Sodexo as Client Executive at Sharp Healthcare.
Patient safety has been a common theme throughout my career in healthcare technology. After graduating with my Bachelors degree in Electronics Engineering Technology from DeVry I started my career as a Field Service Engineer with Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics. I quickly became an expert in Blood Gas, Hematology, Hemostasis and Urinalysis.
I moved on to Trimedx, continuing as a Field Service Engineer but expanding my specialty beyond Siemens lab equipment to Beckman Coulter and a few other brands. When Dignity Health (CommonSpirit) moved their clinical engineering department in house, they brought me on as Director of Clinical Engineering at Northridge Hospital.
While working at Northridge Hospital I also worked on my MBA and graduate certificate in Health Services Management, to better serve customers. After receiving my additional degrees I took a position as Regional Service Manager with ASP- Advanced Sterilization Products. It was at ASP that I continued to perfect my customer service skills, servant leadership style, Service strategy, performance management, team optimization, and my collaboration with sales helped my team succeed.
My latest adventure is with Sodexo HTM.
