Conquest Imaging – a provider of ultrasound parts, probes and service – announced in-house probe repair, conducted in its Fishers, Indiana repair lab. Under the direction of Senior Director of Technical Operations Bob Broschart, the repair lab is fully operational, performing quality transducer repair, with less than 2% failure rates. SIMPLIFYTM, Conquest’s repair program announced last year, will now deliver in-house repair for standard, 3D/4D and TEE probes.
“Delivering a probe repair program with excellence is providing the customer with quality and options,” states Broschart, a probe repair expert with over 30 years’ experience. “With the development of our repair lab in Indiana, we now have in-house probe repair with a low 1.2% failure rate and can respond to the customer with the best possible options. If we can fix the probe, we will. Actually, a transducer is quoted ‘repairable’ 80% of the time here so our customer doesn’t have to purchase an exchange at a higher price. We only quote higher-level repairs if necessary, in fact, 70% of our quotes offer low-level repairs.”
Bringing probe repair in-house, has empowered Conquest to offer lower than market probe repair prices, additional probe repair options, faster turn-around times, and 50% off a hospital’s first probe repair. Conquest has dropped pricing for probes 20-50%. The program continues to deliver free evaluations, loaners, Probe 360 (swap), and straight repairs.
The expansion into probe repair is part of Conquest Imaging’s ongoing effort to strategically build and expand the company. With the lab’s completion, efficiencies are streamlined, and repair costs reduced. Adhering to Conquest’s Quality Assurance 360 standards, their new probe repair lab administers the Quality Management System that allows Conquest to offer its best-in-class warranty of 6 months on standard probe repair.
