New 800 Series models expand the company’s bronchoscopy portfolio; balloon-less EB-710US EBUS bronchoscope also on display
LEXINGTON, Mass. | Fujifilm Healthcare Americas Corp. has added two bronchoscopes, the EB-840S and EB-840T, to its 800 Series, expanding its portfolio of pulmonary solutions designed to support visualization, access and procedural versatility.
The new bronchoscopes are powered by the Eluxeo Endoscopic Imaging System, which features LED multi-light technology designed to support enhanced visualization. Fujifilm will demonstrate both models in booth 827 at CHEST 2026, the annual meeting of the American College of Chest Physicians, Oct. 19-21 in Phoenix.
“Pulmonologists are navigating increasingly complex procedures, making high-quality visualization, maneuverability, and procedural versatility more important than ever,” said Tai Fujita, senior vice president, Endoscopy Division, Fujifilm Healthcare Americas Corp. “With the introduction of the EB-840S and EB-840T, we are continuing to build a comprehensive bronchoscopy portfolio that gives physicians access to advanced technologies designed around the needs of both routine and complex pulmonary procedures.”
EB-840S and EB-840T features
Like Fujifilm’s 700 Series specialty bronchoscopes, the EB-840S and EB-840T use intelligent CMOS Image Sensor technology to produce clear, highly detailed images. Both models include features designed to support physician handling and maneuverability, including a durable, lightweight ergonomic G7 grip, a redesigned control portion and 120-degree rotation of the insertion portion.
The scopes also have a new suction valve and four scope switches. A smaller distal tip diameter is designed to ease insertion into the bronchi while maintaining reliable suction performance.
Balloon-less EBUS bronchoscope also on display
Fujifilm will also feature its EB-710US balloon-less endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) bronchoscope at CHEST, which the company says was the first of its kind to market. The EB-710US combines a slim distal-end design with a 2.2-millimeter working channel engineered to accommodate needle sizes from 19-gauge through 25-gauge. It also provides 180-degree upward angulation to support maneuverability and access during procedures.
The balloon-less design is intended to streamline EBUS procedures by eliminating the need for balloon attachment and management while maintaining the procedural capabilities physicians need for tissue acquisition. The EB-710US is available for order in the United States.
Together, the EB-840S, EB-840T and EB-710US reflect Fujifilm’s continued investment in a pulmonary portfolio that combines advanced visualization, maneuverability and procedural versatility across a range of bronchoscopy applications.
