MITA Announces New Board Chairman, Member

The Medical Imaging & Technology Alliance (MITA) has announced that beginning January 1, 2021 Michael Wendt, Senior Vice President of Customer Services, Siemens Healthineers, will serve as MITA Board Chairman, replacing Dennis Durmis, Senior Vice President of Bayer Radiology, Americas Region, who will continue serving on the Board.

MITA also announced that Todd McNitt, Senior Vice President, Health Systems Sales, Philips North America, was elected to the MITA Board of Directors.

“It’s an honor to be elected MITA Board Chairman,” shared Michael Wendt. “The role of medical imaging technology in informing patient care, supporting treatment decisions and driving innovation will only continue to grow, and I’m proud to help lead MITA’s advocacy and other efforts as the voice of this vital sector.”

“It has been an honor to serve on the MITA Board of Directors and I proudly hand the MITA chairmanship baton to my good friend, Michael Wendt,” said Dennis Durmis. “I know Michael will play an instrumental role in providing MITA with strategic vision and leadership, and I look forward to continue serving on the Board and working with Michael to promote policies that support appropriate medical imaging that improve patient health outcomes.”

At Siemens Healthineers, Michael leads the Customer Services organization in North America. Based in Cary, North Carolina, he focuses on growing the loyalty of Siemens employees and customers throughout North America.

Todd McNitt is a senior executive in the healthcare technology industry with more than 25 years of broad-based functional experience in sales, marketing, corporate strategy, product leadership and P&L management. He has extensive experience in leading global organizations, with operations covering multiple countries and scaling early- stage ventures as well. Prior to Philips, Todd held senior leadership positions with General Electric Healthcare including General Manager for the Global Imaging IT business.
