Tammy Holland

 

The San Antonio, Texas-based Acuity Hospital of South Texas has named Tammy Holland its chief clinical officer. Holland, a registered nurse, has 18 years of clinical expertise and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Oklahoma. She is a member of the Emergency Nurses Association, the American Burn Association, the Texas Nurses Association, and the Texas Organization of Nurse Executives.

 

 

American Well of Boston, Massachusetts has added Bill Conway as general manager of provider solutions. Previously, Conway has been senior vice president and vice president of small group sales at athenahealth, regional vice president of sales for Allscripts Corporation, and spent 13 years at IDX Systems.

 

Halfaker and Associates of Arlington, Virginia appointed Michael Weiner as its CMIO. Weiner was most recently CMIO of IBM Healthcare & Life Sciences, formerly directed the Military Health System Electronic Health Record Way Ahead Office, was deputy program manager and chief medical officer for the Department of Defense’s Defense Health Information Management System, and has been chief medical officer of the global Navy Expeditionary Combat Command. Weiner is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and is a board-certified practicing internist. He holds master’s degrees in management and in information systems technology from George Washington University.

Mullen was most recently the chief executive officer of Patheon, and spent a decade as chief executive officer and president of Biogen Idec Inc. He has worked in pharmaceutical and biotech manufacturing, engineering, sales, marketing, mergers and acquisitions. Mullen holds a bachelor of science in chemical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and Villanova University MBA.

 

Eli Lilly and Company of Indianapolis, Indiana named Maura Dickler its vice president of late phase development, effective May 7, 2018. Dickler is currently the section head, endocrine therapy clinical research program at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) and an associate member, breast medicine service, department of medicine, MSKCC and associate professor of medicine, Weill Cornell Medical College, New York. Dickler is a clinical researcher on the breast medicine service at MSKCC.

The National Association of Locum Tenens Organizations’ (NALTO) of Norcross, Georgia has named Anne Anderson executive vice president of its board of directors; Anderson was NALTO president from 2011-13, served on its board from 2006-14, and is currently serving a second term on its board, begun in 2016.

 

 

 

The Morristown, New Jersey-based Morristown Medical Center named James C. Wittig chair of its department of orthopedics and medical director of orthopedic oncology at Atlantic Health System. Wittig was previously vice chairman of orthopedic surgery, chief of orthopedic oncology & sarcoma surgery, and director of the skin & sarcoma division at Hackensack University Medical Center.

 

Susan Medick

 

The American Association for Clinical Chemistry of Washington, D.C. has named Susan Medick its chief financial officer. Medick is a CPA who most recently was chief financial officer at the Telecommunications Industry Association; she previously spent 20 years as chief financial and operations officer of the Auto Care Association.

 

 

 

 

Daniel C. Brocks

A board certified ophthalmologist, Brocks is the founder of The Dry Eye Center at Hudson Valley Eye Surgeons in Fishkill, New York, a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, International Society of Refractive Surgery, The Corneal Society, The Sjogren’s Syndrome Foundation, American Association for Physician Leadership, American Telemedicine Association, Refractive Surgery Alliance, Scleral Lens Education Society, ARVO and Contact Lens Association of Ophthalmology.
