Joseph E. Fournier

InveniasPartners of Chicago, Illinois named Joseph E. Fournier vice-chairman and president; Fournier joined the firm as a partner and chief people officer in 2018. He previously was senior vice president and chief people officer of Intermountain Healthcare, and has held executive leadership positions at the University of Michigan Health System and UMass Memorial Health Care. Fournier also serves on the board of Westminster College, as an advisory board member for Key Bank, Utah, and as an advisory board member for TrustRank.

Ted Bukowski

MORE Health Inc. of San Mateo, California promoted Ted Bukowski to executive vice president and chief revenue officer. Bukowski was previously senior vice president of provider partnerships at MORE Health and has more than 25 years of executive health care leadership experience. Bukowski is board-certified by the American College of Medical Practice Executives.

 

The National Comprehensive Cancer Network of Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania named Ronald Walters chair of its board of directors and Ruth O’Regan vice-chair. Walters is associate head for the Institute for Cancer Care Innovation and a breast cancer oncologist at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He has been a member of the board for NCCN since 2012, and has served on the NCCN executive committee since 2016. O’Regan is the division head of hematology and oncology and associate director for clinical research at the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center. They succeed outgoing Chair Timothy J. Eberlein of Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine and vice-chair Jan C. Buckner of Mayo Clinic Cancer Center

 

Suneva Medical Inc. of San Diego, California named Brian Pilcher its chief science officer. Pilcher has 18 years of experience in dermatology and aesthetics, most recently as principal of Critical MASS Scientific Strategy Consultants.

 

Insmed Inc. of Bridgewater, New Jersey will lose CFO Paolo Tombesi June 2, 2019; thereafter, Tombesi will remain available to the company on a consulting basis. The company noted that Tombesi’s departure “is not the result of any dispute or disagreement with the company,” including any matters relating to its accounting practices or financial reporting. Meanwhile, John Goll was promoted to chief accounting officer.

 

ARMCO Partners of Atlanta, Georgia added sales executives Holly Hutchinson and Kate Savino. Hutchinson is based in Clearwater, Florida, and Savino is based in the Chicago area.

 

Whitehead Institute of Cambridge, Massachusetts will see Director David C. Page complete his term in the summer of 2020; Page has been president of the organization since 2004, and has been with the institute for 35 years. He holds a medical degree from Harvard Medical School and has produced decades of research on the role of sex chromosomes in health and disease.

 

The Scottsdale, Arizona-based GlobalMed has hired Scott Sullivan as chief revenue officer and senior vice president of worldwide sales. Sullivan was most recently senior vice president of worldwide sales & channels for Atomiton Inc.

 

Apollo Endosurgery Inc. of Austin, Texas named John Barr an independent director, effective immediately. Barr is an operating partner with Altamont Capital Partners, was previously CEO and a member of the board of Surgical Specialties Corporation from 2014 through 2017 and, prior to that, held a number of CEO and executive leadership positions during his 35-year health care career. Barr has a master’s degree in finance, accounting and economics from Northwestern University.

 

Vicki Block

Atrium Health of Charlotte, North Carolina has named Vicki Block senior vice president of its central division. Previously, Block was the COO at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He currently serves on the American Heart Association’s Central Ohio Board of Directors.

 

Seven Bridges of Boston, Massachusetts named William Moss its CEO and Brandi Davis-Dusenbery its chief scientific officer. Moss was previously COO and president of commercial operations at Seven Bridges. Davis-Dusenbery will oversee all aspects of scientific innovation, solution strategy and bioinformatics expertise.

 

Jonathan Culp

The Surgicalist Group of Tampa, Florida has named Jonathan Culp vice president of business development. Prior to joining TSG, Culp was director of business development for OB Hospitalist Group, and has been vice president of business development for NorthStar Anesthesia.

 

THEO Executive Group of Dallas, Texas has named Robert J. Henkel its president of healthcare transformation. Henkel’s career has included leadership positions at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, New York, and Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Florida. He holds a master’s in public health.

 

Larry Lipshultz, Lynn Stothers and Amar Sawhney

The Urology Care Foundation of Linthicum, Maryland added physicians Larry Lipshultz, Lynn Stothers and Amar Sawhney to its board of directors. Strothers is the first woman to be appointed to the board. Lipshultz is a professor of urology and chief of the Scott Department of Urology’s Division of Male Reproductive Medicine and Surgery. Sawhney is chair of Ocular Therapeutix Inc., CEO and chairman of Instylla Inc. Stothers is a professor at the University of British Columbia in the department of urologic sciences, a senator at the University of British Columbia, and an associate member in the school of population and public health and the department of obstetrics and gynecology.

 

BioIQ of Atlanta, Georgia has named Richard Popiel as a senior advisor. Popiel is co-founder and managing partner of Xploration Health, a senior advisor to McKinsey and Company. Popiel holds a master’s degree in business administration from Northwestern University.

 

Epic Sciences of San Diego, California has named Lloyd Sanders its president and CEO, replacing Murali Prahalad; Prahalad also has been appointed to Epic’s board of directors. Sanders formerly was president of the oncology segment of the molecular diagnostics company Myriad Genetics, and had been COO at Dey Pharma.

 

Rigel Pharmaceuticals of South San Francisco, California named Jane Wasman to its board of directors. Wasman is a strategic leader with more than 20 years of experience in the biopharma industry.
