Paul Shenenberger

Privia Health of Arlington, Virginia has added Paul Shenenberger as SVP of IT Operations and CISO. Shenenberger was most recently the CIO and Security Officer of Summit Health Management of New Jersey. He has a decade of experience working as a healthcare technology executive.

 

Outset Medical of San Jose, California has added Chief Medical Officer Michael Aragon and VP of People Operations Stacey Porter. Aragon spent 14 years in clinical practice and as a medical director for DaVita and U.S. Renal Care, and was the founding partner and president of North Texas Kidney Consultants. He is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors for the End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) Network of Texas. Prior to joining Outset, Porter served as the head of global talent development for Intuitive Surgical, and held leadership roles at VMware and Roche.

 

Carmelo Mastrandrea

Cardiac Dimensions of Kirkland, Washington named Carmelo Mastrandrea VP of Sales. Prior to joining Cardiac Dimensions, Mastrandrea most recently was VP of Sales for REVA Medical.

 

American Surgical Professionals of Houston, Texas has named Matthew C. French VP of Surgical Operations. French was formerly its VP of Physician Practice Operations, and had previously been AVP at Memorial Hermann Medical Group in Houston.

 

Apyx Medical Corporation of Clearwater, Florida, promoted Todd Hornsby to EVP. Hornsby joined Apyx Medical in August 2014, and was formerly VP and GM of Advanced Energy.

Encompass Group LLC of McDonough, Georgia has accepted the retirement of Ken Tyler, VP of Government Operations, after sixteen years of service with the company. Tyler is succeeded by Dan Guzzo, formerly Encompass’ VP of Healthcare Government Sales. Guzzo joined Encompass in 2008 as an Acute Care Territory Sales Representative in Cleveland, Ohio.

 

Spinal Elements of Carlsbad, California named Steve Healy Chairman of its Board of Directors, which he’d joined in May 2018. Healy has been GM of Zimmer Biomet, president of Zimmer Spine, president and CEO of Disc Dynamics, and president of the Heart Valve Division of St. Jude Medical. He is currently a board member of Peytant Solutions and chairs the board at Bioventrix.

 

Penumbra Inc. of Alameda, California added Janet Leeds and Surbhi Sarna to its board of directors. Leeds is an Administrative Director at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, the former administrator for the Fred Hutchinson/University of Washington Cancer Consortium, and held management consultant positions at ECG Management Consultants. Sarna is the CEO and founder of nVision Medical, which was acquired by Boston Scientific in April 2018. She has previously worked at BioCardia and Abbott Vascular.

 

BioMed Realty of San Diego, California made six internal executive promotions: Bill Kane to EVP, East Coast and United Kingdom; Kevin Simonsen to General Counsel; Kevin Slein to SVP of Facilities; Tracy Perrelle to VP of West Coast Property Management; Russ Garland to VP of East Coast Facilities; and Paul Draper to VP of West Coast Facilities.

 

Trip Hofer and David Shulkin

AbleTo Inc. of New York, New York, added David J. Shulkin to its board of directors. Shulkin most recently served as the U.S. Secretary of Veterans Affairs. A board-certified internist, he has held numerous chief executive roles at Morristown Medical Center and the Atlantic Health System Accountable Care Organization in New Jersey. He also formerly was president and CEO of Beth Israel Medical Center in New York.

 

The Antimicrobials Working Group (AWG) of Washington, D.C. named Evan Loh, president, COO, and CMO of Paratek Pharmaceuticals, Inc., as its chairman, replacing Jeffrey Stein, president and CEO of Cidara Therapeutics, upon the expiration of his two-year term of service. Stein will remain on the AWG Executive Committee. Ciara Kennedy, president and CEO of Amplyx Pharmaceuticals, Inc. has been appointed as Vice Chair, and Ted Schroeder, CEO of Nabriva Therapeutics has joined the AWG Executive Committee.

 

Outcome Health of Chicago, Illinois, added John Vaughan as its Chief Compliance Officer. Vaughan was previously chief compliance officer at Danaher Dental Platform, and has held Corporate Counsel and Compliance roles for Genentech, Johnson & Johnson, Hospira, Bristol-Myers Squibb, and Shire.

 

Courtnee Westendorf and Bimal Shah

Livongo Health of Mountainview, California has named Courtnee Westendorf as its Chief Marketing Officer and promoted Bimal Shah to Chief Medical Officer. Westendorf most recently served as the Chief Marketing Officer for the Oakland Raiders, has been VP of marketing for Intel, VP of Consumer Marketing at Disney, and spent a decade at Apple. Shah was SVP Clinical Strategy for Livongo, having joined the company after a previous appointment as the Chief Medical Officer for Emerging Technology and Informatics at Premier Inc. He also taught at Duke University.

 

CereVasc, LLC of Boston, Massachusetts added neuroscientist and bestselling author Lisa Genova to its Board of Directors.

 

The Richardson, Texas-based National Partners in Healthcare (NPH) added David Hagey as CFO. Hagey joins NPH from Epic Health Services, Inc., where he was also CFO. Prior to joining Epic, he was president and CFO of IntegraCare, CFO of Accuro Healthcare Solutions, and VP and Controller of U.S. Operations for United Surgical Partners.
