The New York, New York-based LetsGetChecked named Robert Mordkin its Chief Medical Officer, Richard Southern its Chief Analytics Officer, and Simon Dunne its Chief Marketing Officer Simon Dunne. Mordkin is chief of urology at Virginia Hospital Center, where he also founded its surgical robotics program. Southern was most recently head of analytics at Optum Ireland and director of analytics at Deloitte. Dunne was previously chief marketing officer of an online gaming company.

 

The nonprofit Hanley Foundation of West Palm Beach, Florida named Andrew Burki its Chief Public Policy Officer. Burki has a master’s degree in social work from Florida Atlantic University. He is a member of the Young People in Recovery national board, a board member of a recovery high school in Philadelphia, and has participated on advisory panels for the Office of National Drug Control Policy and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration under the last two presidential administrations.

 

The Bloomfield, New Jersey-based Urology Management Associates named Derek Grimes SVP of Clinical Research at New Jersey Urology (NJU). Grimes spent nearly 12 years with TKL Research as VP of Clinical Operations; he also spent eight years with Columbia and New York Universities.

 

Dan Clark

IBH Population Health Solutions of Costa Mesa, California named Dan Clark its CEO, succeeding the retiring Ed Bosanac, who will remain on the Board of Directors of the Company. Clark was previously at UK-based Ieso Digital Health, where he had been CEO since 2016. Previously, Clark held senior executive positions at OPTUM Health, Humana Inc., Aetna Inc., Cigna Corporation and ValueOptions (now Beacon Health Options).

 

Renee Broadbent

Wolf & Company P.C. of Boston, Massachusetts named Renee Broadbent to head its Virtual Chief Information Security Officer (VCISO) service line. Broadbent was most recently AVP of Population Health Information Technology and Strategy at UMass Memorial Health Care.

 

The Irvine, California-based Kareo named David Justus its CFO and Scott Maxwell and David Cozzens to its board of directors. Prior to joining Kareo, Justus has been CFO of Avetta and of The Retail Equation. Maxwell is senior managing director of OpenView Venture Partners; Cozzens previously was CEO of Telogis, has been VP of operations for Novell, and VP of consulting at Cambridge Technology Partners.

 

Kirk Agerson and Karl J. Edelmann

The Boca Raton, Florida-based MDVIP added affiliate practices with physicians Kirk Agerson and Karl J. Edelmann. Agerson is affiliated with Spectrum Health and has served as an Assistant Clinical Professor at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine for the past 35 years. He was also the Chief Medical Officer at Answer Health and sits on the Quality Committee of Answer Health. Edelmann is affiliated with St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor and the University of Michigan Health System. A decorated Airforce Flight Surgeon, he is commander of the 514th Air Mobility Wing’s Aeromedical Staging Squadron.

 

Melissa Orshan Spann

The Miami, Florida-based Monte Nido & Affiliates named Melissa Orshan Spann its Chief Clinical Officer. Spann holds a doctoral degree from Drexel University and a master’s degree from the University of Miami. Spann serves on the board of the Southeast Eating Disorder (SEED) Conference Committee.

 

Don McDaniel

The Phildelphia, Pennsylvania-based Jefferson College of Population Health named Don McDaniel its first Entrepreneur-in-Residence. McDaniel, a longtime healthcare executive, is CEO of Canton & Company.

 

VeraSci of Durham, North Carolina named Hampton Corley its Chief Commercial Officer. Corley spent the last decade in commercial roles at Clinipace.

 

Lawrence Miller

The Philadelphia, Pennsylvania-based Signant Health named Lawrence Miller its Chief Technology Officer. Miller joins Signant Health from Symphony Communication Services, where he was Chief Security Officer. He worked for BlackRock for 11 years in New York and San Francisco, and holds a master’s degree in computer science from George Washington University.

 

Payer Compass of Plano, Texas named Matthew Thompson as CFO and Slayton Gorman as Chief Revenue Officer. Thompson most recently was CFO of HealthSmart Holdings, has been CFO of American CareSource Holdings, has held financial management positions with Tyler Technologies, and started his career with Ernst & Young LLP. Gorman was most recently EVP of sales and account management for Equian, and has held positions with Trover Solutions and Optum.

 

Paradigm of Walnut Creek, California promoted Kevin Turner to CEO of its Catastrophic Care Management division and Karen Jones to Chief Human Resources Officer. Turner previously was Chief Sales and Marketing Officer for Catastrophic Care Management, and had been EVP of Operations and Business Development for Xchanging. Prior to joining Paradigm, Karen was SVP and HR Business Partner for Experian, Inc. She has been head of HR for product development and sales organizations at Hewlett-Packard Company and Avaya, Inc.

 

The Phoenix, Arizona-based Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona named James Napoli its Chief Medical Officer CMO. Napoli was appointed interim CMO in March, and has continued to be the enterprise medical director for healthcare ventures and innovation for the company. Napoli is board-certified in internal medicine and has been a Medical Director for OptumHealth. Napoli earned a master’s of medical management degree from the University of Southern California.

 

TridentUSA Health Services of Sparks, Maryland named Lori Stallings-Sicard and Jane Pike-Benton its co-Chief Clinical Officers. Stallings-Sicard joined the company from the Detroit Medical Center, where she was Chief Nursing Officer and Group Chief Operating Officer. Pike-Benton was most recently at Tenet Healthcare as EVP of Home Health and Transitions in Care for Vanguard Health Systems.

 

Gail Marcus

The Boston, Massachusetts-based binx health named Gail Marcus to its Board of Directors. Marcus also currently serves on the boards of Natera, Cambridge Epigenetix, and Triple S Management.
