Innovatus Imaging recently promoted Cam Conklin to vice president of global sales and marketing. He will oversee customer experiences, sales and marketing programs for all of Innovatus Imaging’s service and product offerings. These include ultrasound probe and transducer repair, MRI coil repair and radiography equipment systems and field service. Prior experience includes global sales and customer service positions at Bayer Healthcare, MEDRAD and Healthpoint.

 

Phreesia of New York, New York has named Mark Smith to its board of directors. Smith, a physician who holds an MBA, is the founding president and former CEO of the California HealthCare Foundation, which he led from 1996 to 2013. Previous to that, Smith worked at the Kaiser Family Foundation, Johns Hopkins University, and was elected to the Institute of Medicine in 2001.

 

Pneuma Respiratory, Inc. of Boone, North Carolina, has added J. Knox Singleton its board of directors. Singleton spent 35 years as the CEO of Inova Health System and holds a master’s degree in Health Administration from Duke University.

 

Rafael Mazuz

The Baltimore, Maryland-based Tissue Analytics, Inc. has added Rafael Mazuz to its board of directors. Mazuz is managing director of Diligence Wound Care Global, and serves on the editorial advisory board of Today’s Wound Clinic.

 

The Miami-based Florida International University’s Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine (HWCOM) has named Robert Sackstein its dean and  SVP for health affairs. Sackstein comes to FIU from Harvard Medical School (HMS), where he was a professor of dermatology and medicine and co-director of the Glycoscience Center at HMS. Sackstein will assume his new role at FIU January 2, 2019.

Health Catalyst of Salt Lake City, Utah has added four new senior vice presidents to its leadership team. They are: SVP physician and market development at Health Catalyst William Caldwell, former SVP of clinical integration at Novant Health; SVP of professional services Cathy Menkiena, former senior director of EHR Solutions at Encore Health Resources; SVP of client engagement Ryan Smith, former chief information officer at Banner Health; and SVP of professional services Steven Vance, former regional chief financial officer and compliance officer at Intermountain Healthcare.

 

FogPharma of Boston, Massachusetts has added Barbara Weber, president and CEO of Tango Therapeutics and venture partner at Third Rock Ventures, to its board of directors. Weber has served as a scientific and medical advisor to FogPharma since its founding, has been interim Chief Medical Officer for Neon Therapeutics through 2017, and played a leadership role in the creation of Relay Therapeutics, launched in 2016.

 

EIR Healthcare of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania has named Mauri Lawler its Chief Clinical Officer. Lawler has more than 25 years of professional experience at Einstein Medical Center, the University of Pennsylvania, Holy Redeemer Health Services, Siemens, Cerner and EMD Serono (Merck KGaA).

 

Matt Schiering

Contec, Inc. of Spartanburg, South Carolina has added Matt Schiering as its Chief Marketing Officer. Schiering began working with Contec as a consultant in 2017 via his consultancy, Sheer Strategy LLC. Schiering has also worked for Sani Professional and Johnson & Johnson.

 

The Atlanta, Georgia-based Vivex Biomedical, Inc. has named Lisa Colleran its new CEO, replacing Tracy Anderson, who will transition to vice-chairman and will remain on the Vivex Board of Directors. Colleran is the former CEO of LifeCell Corporation, and spent 20 years at Baxter Healthcare in various commercial and general management roles.

 

Jonathan Chebra

The Princeton-based New Jersey Hospital Association (NJHA) has named Jonathan Chebra its senior director of federal affairs. Chebra was most recently served as director of government relations and policy for NJHA, previously served as chief of staff for Assemblyman Herb Conaway, the Chair of the Assembly Health and Senior Services Committee, and worked for U.S. Senator Frank Lautenberg in his Capitol Hill office. Chebra takes over federal advocacy duties from Sean Hopkins, who now helms the Center for Health Analytics, Research and Transformation (CHART) at NJHA.

 

Lark Health of Mountainview, California named physician Rosemary Ku its Chief Medical Officer (CMO). Ku joins Lark from Restore Health (acquired by Zillion), where she was CMO. Ku holds an MD as well as an MPH in Health Policy and Management from UC Berkeley, and an MBA from Columbia Business School.

 

Akash Madiah

Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) of Englewood, Colorado has named Akash Madiah as its new CFO. Madiah joins MGMA from DaVita Medical Group, where he served as market CFO for the Colorado Springs region. Madiah previously served in financial leadership roles at a variety of organizations, including Vail Resorts, KPMG LLP, and Zolfo Cooper. He holds an MBA from the University of Virginia.

 

The Denver, Colorado-based Paladina Health named Tobias Barker as its Chief Medical Officer. Barker most recently was VP of Medical Operations and Chief Medical Officer of CVS MinuteClinic.

 

Divurgent of Virginia Beach, Virginia named Gary Germaine its VP of Client Services. After spending nearly a decade with TEKsystems, Germaine most recently was with Leidos Health, where he led a team of account executives for commercial health services.
