Accuray Incorporated of Sunnyvale, California expanded its board of directors to nine with the addition of James M. Hindman. Hindman was most recently EVP of finance and business development and CFO of Allergan, Inc., where he spent 30 years.

 

ChanceLight Behavioral Health of Nashville, Tennessee will see EVP John McLaughlin transition to its Board of Directors. Most recently McLaughlin directed the company’s Research & Analytics unit.

 

The Boston, Massachusetts-based SilverCloud Health added five people to its clinical advisory board. They are David H. Barlow, a professor of psychology and psychiatry emeritus and founder of the Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders at Boston University; Todd Farchione, a research professor at Boston University and director of its intensive treatment program for panic disorder and specific phobias; William H. Polonsky, president and founder of the Behavioral Diabetes Institute and associate clinical professor at the University of California, San Diego; Barr Taylor, a research professor and director of the Center for m²Health at Palo Alto University; and Ladislav Timulak, director of the doctorate in counselling psychology program at the Trinity College School of Psychology in Dublin.

 

Caregiver, Inc. of Ft. Worth, Texas, promoted Amanda Corrigan to president of Texas operations for the company. Corrigan joined the company in February 2019 as VP of operational excellence; she previously served as SVP of Operations for Paramount Healthcare. She is working toward an MBA from .

 

CNSI of Rockville, Maryland has added David Gulli as VP of Software Quality Assurance (SQA); Gulli was previously senior director and head of shared services at Quest Diagnostics. The company also named Linda Mras its VP of contracts. Mras was formerly director of contracts for Dun & Bradstreet.

 

Epic Sciences, Inc. of San Diego, California named Joel Smith its general counsel and EVP of corporate development. Smith has been a senior executive and general counsel for BioQ, Triad Therapeutics, and Sientra, Inc. Most recently, he was the managing counsel of Qualcomm Life, the medical device subsidiary of Qualcomm.

Stanford Children’s Health of Stanford, California named Rick Majzun its VP and COO. Most recently, Majzun was president and COO for Women & Infants Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island. He has been VP of operations at St. Louis Children’s Hospital and VP of Women & Infants for Barnes Jewish Hospital and St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

 

Anna Gosline

The Boston-based Massachusetts Coalition for Serious Illness Care named Anna Gosline its new executive director, succeeding the retired Richard Averbuch. Gosline will continue to serve as the senior director of strategic initiatives in the executive office of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, the administrative home and primary funder for the coalition. Previously, Gosline was the director of policy and research at the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Foundation. She was a health care journalist in the United Kingdom and Canada and holds a master’s degree in health policy and management from Harvard.

 

The National Collaborative for Health Equity (NCHE) of Washington, D.C. will see its executive director and co-founder Brian Smedley resign October 31 to assume a new role as Chief of Psychology in the Public Interest at the American Psychological Association. Gail Christopher, former VP and senior advisor at the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, will succeed him November 1. Christopher was Executive Director of The Innovation in American Government Awards Program at Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government and VP of the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies, where she led the Joint Center Health Policy Institute.

 

John D. Halamka

The Boston, Massachusetts-based PatientPing added John D. Halamka as a strategic advisor. Halamka is executive director of the Health Technology Exploration Center of Beth Israel Lahey Health, the International Healthcare Innovation Professor at Harvard Medical School, and chairs the New England Healthcare Exchange Network (NEHEN). He also serves on the Massachusetts Healthcare IT Council and the Governor’s Digital Health Council.

The University of St. Thomas of St. Paul, Minnesota named MayKao Y. Hang VP and founding dean of its College of Health. Hang has served as president and CEO of the Amherst H. Wilder Foundation since 2010, and will begin her role part-time Oct. 7 before transitioning to full-time Nov. 4.

Quest Diagnostics of Secaucus, New Jersey named Manuel O. Méndez SVP and Chief Commercial Officer, effective October 7. Mendez joins Quest from QIAGEN N.V., where he was SVP, head of global operations, and a member of the executive committee. Before joining QIAGEN in 2014, he was EVP Americas for bioMérieux from 2010-2014, and has held a variety of sales, marketing and general management roles with Abbott Laboratories, Thermo Fisher Scientific and OraSure Technologies.

 

Eric Ramos

MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center of Long Beach, California has named Eric Ramos its new chief medical officer. Ramos has 35 years of experience as a physician. Most recently, Ramos was division chief medical officer for HCA Healthcare Far West Division.

Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) announces the establishment of the Morgan Family Endowed Chair in Pediatric Surgery. Peter Mattei, MD, attending pediatric surgeon in the Division of General, Thoracic and Fetal Surgery at CHOP, has been named the inaugural chair holder.

Mattei is also an associate professor of Surgery in the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.

 

Catherine Shitara

She was also accreditation and patient safety manager for Keck Medical Center of USC and USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, and Verdura Group President and CEO.

 

Haemonetics Corporation of Braintree, Massachusetts named Stewart W. Strong president of its global hospital. He joins Haemonetics from Teleflex Incorporated, where he was president and GM of the Interventional Business Unit. He joined Teleflex through the acquisition of Vidacare Corporation where he has been VP of sales.
