KA Imaging to Present Poster at ECR 2021

KA Imaging, a company that develops innovative X-ray imaging solutions, announced that a poster reporting on results from a study examining the feasibility of lateral chest dual-energy subtraction radiography using a stacked single-exposure multi-layer x-ray detector will be presented by Sebastian Maurino, a medical physicist at KA Imaging, at this year’s European Congress of Radiology (ECR).

RTI COVID-19 Kits Donated in U.S.

The RTI Covid-19 Kit of the Cobia FLEX with mAs, MAS-2 probe, and RTI Dose Probe

In May, RTI Group North America invited nominations for three U.S.-based medical facilities to receive an RTI Covid-19 Kit containing the Cobia FLEX with mAs, RTI Dose Probe and RTI MAS-2 probe.

From across the country, RTI Group North America was inundated with inspiring success stories from diverse organizations and individuals working in Quality Assurance and patient safety.

Steve Holmes, vice president of sales North America at RTI Group, said: “Every nomination we received was a testament to the frontline biomed, clinical engineering and medical physicists ensuring patient safety and care during this unprecedented period.”

A press release reads, “We are delighted to announce the following facilities who will be receiving one of our Covid-19 kits:

  • Maimonides Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY
  • Homestead Hospital – Baptist Health South Florida, Homestead, FL
  • West Penn Hospital – Allegheny Health Network, Pittsburgh, PA

“With this kit in place, we provide a tool for doing essential checks and measurements – Radiography/Fluoroscopy, Intraoral, and CBCT – on all vital X-ray machines used in the virus struggle,” the release adds. “We look forward to catching up with these three facilities in the near future!”
