Superstition can be defined as a notion maintained despite evidence to the contrary. It is an unjustified belief in a supernatural cause and effect leading to an unrealistic expectation.

We may not all be in the position to change the entire world; however, we are all in the position to aid and even cause progress.

I rarely have an idea what I will write about until the day the column is due. I am a master procrastinator.
