Browsing: Roman Review

I woke up this morning with much anxiety. My mind was reeling from all the things that I absolutely had to do today. I attempted to conduct my normal morning routine anyway.

People can be passively annoying as in the case of a seat snatcher. Active annoyance is even more disturbing. Think of the last time that you were in a restaurant and had a loud, boisterous and annoying individual near you. Did it not hinder your enjoyment of the meal and your companions? Were you “That Guy?”

Recent conversations with a friend brought back memories of an article I wrote a very long time ago. I decided to revisit the article because it might have relevance in today’s acquisition-rich environment.

I often visit Ted.com where I find interesting and enlightening presentations by experts in their field. One such presentation was “On Being Wrong” by Kathryn Schulz. Ms. Schulz is a staff writer for The New Yorker and is the author of “Being Wrong: Adventures in the Margin of Error.”

I often receive nuggets of wisdom while watching television. Sometimes these nuggets cause me to think more deeply about the meaning behind what I heard.
