How long should we sacrifice our own well-being and comfort for the sake of an unappreciative family? At what point do we say enough?

I was watching an interview regarding extraterrestrials. Yep, ET. The man being interviewed is an “expert” on the many ETs that have seeded and influenced the progress of mankind on earth. Obviously, my mind is open to anything, especially when I am bored.

We don’t think about the purpose and what the audience actually cares about and wants to know. We are selfish with our writing. We need to reverse the way we think about communicating.

We live in a community with a homeowners association (HOA). We are mostly pleased with the way it is run. Property values are maintained by ensuring that everyone complies with the regulations we all agreed to upon purchasing the homes.

I was watching a movie where the mother says to the young daughter, “You lied to me.” The about 5-year-old replies, “You lied to me too.” The mother then says, “Yes I did, but it was for your own good.”

We use information stored in memory as a short cut to making judgments about people and situations. Imagine if we had to research and analyze every new encounter with people or situations. This would be extremely time consuming and exhausting. As humans, we must make assumptions even though they may not always be reasonable.
