I believe that keeps me from focusing only on what is needed for the next step and lets my work speak for itself. If done well enough, my peers and leaders will recognize it when the next step is available

Angie Meyer, ARRT, ODH, is the radiology manager at University Hospitals Geneva/Conneaut Medical Center. After earning a bachelor’s degree Meyer found herself back in her hometown. ICE recently found out more about this rising star in the imaging field.

Rayssa Salinas, RT(R)(CT) ARRT, holds a Bachelor of Science in Radiography Education and Management and is the imaging technical supervisor at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB). ICE recently learned more about this rising star via a question-and-answer session.

Growing up in Mansfield, Louisiana, Courtney L. Trindade, R.T. (R)(CT)(M) (ARRT), knew she would one day help others. She was interested in health care and upon earning an associate degree of applied science she set her sights on a career in diagnostic imaging. She is currently the assistant center director for Solis Mammography.

Nelida Trout-Lacy, R.T. (MR)(ARRT), holds a bachelor’s degree in diagnostic imaging and is the radiology manager at Watsonville Community Hospital in California.

Bradford Harrold, CRA, CIIP, ARMRIT, holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences, with a focus on administration. He currently serves as the associate director of imaging administration at UT Southwestern.

This month’s Rising Star is MRI technologist Joseph Kim. He is currently pursuing an Associate of Science degree in nuclear medicine. His imaging education includes knowledge obtained from the United States Navy and Gurnick Academy. His certifications include venipuncture and MRI technologist.

Erica Biller, BS, RT(R)(CT), is a CT protocoling technologist at Valley Health/Winchester Medical Center in Virginia. She stands out among her peers less than a decade into her career.
