CareIntellect for Operations is designed to help health systems maximize their resources and increase access to care by helping them forecast capacity constraints up to 72 hours in advance. It analyzes hundreds of patient and operational insights in real time to provide comprehensive unit-, department-, hospital- and health system-wide views of emerging bottlenecks. It then helps teams move from analysis to action with recommended steps to address emerging bottlenecks before they can cascade into systemwide issues.
Key details include:
- AI-enabled forecasting: The application combines two proprietary GE HealthCare AI models – Pressure Forecast and Estimated Day of Discharge – to help health systems shift from reacting to operational pressure to anticipating and proactively managing resource constraints and bottlenecks.
- Recommendations: It then helps operational leaders decide what to do next by recommending prescriptive actions to optimize areas including capacity and throughput.
- Queen’s and Duke Health: The Queen’s Health Systems and Duke Health will be the first health systems to implement CareIntellect for Operations as clinical evaluation sites, providing frontline clinical and operational feedback.
- Backed by 20+ years of experience: The application is informed by more than two decades of GE HealthCare expertise in hospital operations, including insights from its Command Center software, which is used by nearly 500 hospitals and medical facilities globally.
