New Award Program Recognizes X-Ray Technologists

2021 X-Ray Technologist Awards

With over 127 million COVID-19 cases worldwide, clinicians on the frontlines of the pandemic are continuing to work tirelessly to care for a high volume of patients with limited resources. X-ray technologists are no exception. They play a critical role in the patient care journey by often capturing the first image of a patient, especially in today’s emergency care environment where X-ray is being used to examine the lungs of COVID-19 patients. Accordingly, this has meant unprecedented workload and workflow challenges for X-ray technologists during the pandemic. Despite these challenges, stories of X-ray technologists going above and beyond to provide exceptional patient care continue to shine through.

To highlight the tremendous work technologists have been doing, GE Healthcare has launched the 2021 X-Ray Technologist Awards to recognize those who are enhancing patient care, improving workflow and driving clinical excellence. X-Ray Technologist Award winners will be recognized on the award website and social media and will be invited to a “behind the scenes” discussion with GE Healthcare’s X-Ray team to help shape the future of X-Ray technology.
