There are point of care settings within hospitals where access to a high-performance medical monitor is limited. In this webinar, Dr. Karim S. Karim and Jay Potipcoe talk about single-exposure dual-energy technology and how it can increase confidence in now-radiological environments, without adding extra reading time. The speakers will present the results of a study that measured the performance of different readers while reading Digital Radiography (DR) and compare it to how they performed when Dual-Energy (DE) images were given. For those unfamiliar with the technique, the presenters will give a brief overview on dual-energy subtraction (DES) X-ray, the limitations of the old DES techniques and how single-exposure SpectralDR technology can overcome these limitations. They will also discuss the clinical benefits enabled by dual-energy in the early detection of small nodules identification, pneumonia, pneumothorax, coronary calcifications.
